  • See more interviews that Elliot has conducted over the years at:
Moving Pictures Magazine. There's some really good interviews with Danny Boyle, Freida Patel, and Dev Pinto from Slumdog Millionaire.

  • I know what I must do now. Gwen's life was summed up in the movie, and it did more than "touch" me. I too, am transgendered, if that's the only word to describe it, but if you knew me, you would clearly see the masculine side more than anything else about me. I have learned from fear, from experience, and from saturated male privelage to hide myself.
I came out to my bible college and family recently, and now everyone thinks I am gay. Close, but not correct. I guess I should be more understanding. They just don't get it, and I know that the fear, ignorance and societal structure of things has warped their minds, as it has affected all of us. "It" was always there. It affected us, because our parents were raised to think in ways against such "oddities", and their parents were taught, and so forth. Time to make a stand and stop the fear, hate and ignorance.
I don't really know what I am trying to get at here, but I just want anyone who is reading this to know that I am your brother, your sister, your ally and friend. My faith in Christ may have differences, and it may be entirely THE difference between us, but I hear the cries of our family out there, and I will answer. Transgender Christians need a face to represent them, and there are a few, but what about the others who have not transitioned? What about the others who, for any reason, who decide it would be best to remain their current physical gender? This is where I could come in. God bless.

  • Go micro budget filmmaking. We've been doing it in the US since 1995 using SVHS crap cameras and getting very bad representation. Maybe they have been out there but just haven't been seen. It has always been an underground thing. Go us.

Grownupism! 1Day, When I Grow Up!

So, as usual, I wuz sittin' an stinkin bout the days gittin shorter an the weather gittin chillier!
Me an my pardnurs always know wut that meens!
It meens the dragon-teechers are startin to rise up after their summer sleep.
    Yuk!
The dragon-teechers are kinda like bears, only they hibernate in the summer to be sure they have the power to harass alla us kids, all over agin an not for a little while either, but for a whole century, which they call a skool year!
    Ha!
Dragon-teechers never git sick, they jes git ol an learn new wayz to do kid harassement! They call it teachin!
An sum of em, are reel, reel good at it too!
    I mean reel good!
I also see em paintin an fixin the dungeon skool too, cause you know the dungeon skool keepers are in cahoots with the dragon skool-teechers!
    Whatta team!
They work so well together, they shudda been in the Olympics this summer!
But no, they wanna keep their child harassement under cover, as much as possible!
But wut we kids find kinda strange, is the perents are workin with 'em!
I meen, like day an nite with em!
Go to school, do your homework, behave yourself, an on an on an' on!
Us kids feel like walkin, eatin, talkin kid computers! Or robots or sumthin like that!
Well, if were lucky, alla us kidsll grow up, cause that seems like the only way to escape this edumacation torture stuff!
Well, I made it through all these years, so I guess I kin keep on doin' it!?

    PART LXVII
Erwachsensein!

    Was'n Team!
    Hab euch lieb
    'Nacht

  • Cool interview! I've met both when I stayed at the Palms. They are both really cool people. Premiere Misick seems to have brought a lot to the island, I wish they would stop making stuff up about the guy! But I guess that's part of being such a celeb in the area! I'm so glad I got to meet him, I'll be back for another vacation for sure!

  • Early on, Kate aligns her search for artistic recognition with the desire for human contact. “Once, I had a dream of fame,” Kate writes. “Generally, even then, I was lonely” (31). Implicit in the ‘even then’ is the unstated paradox all artists must confront: supposing that one function of art is to facilitate a unique and perhaps otherwise impossible (or at least improbable) form of communication across boundaries of time and space, even the possibility of recognition—or ‘fame,’ in a still-populated world—does not preclude the equal possibility (or maybe an even higher probability) of the larger failure on the artist’s part—a failure to connect, to be properly ‘heard’—and the resulting ‘loneliness’ this entails.
